The training continues, my pack weight is up to my goal of 38lbs.
I'm hiking every other day with the pack. I'm doing hill climbs and decents to strengthen my knees and ankles. I had a small retear of my left calf muscle about a month ago so I'm staying under 5 miles per workout for now. The muscle is fine, I'm just being careful.
I discovered today that I've worn off the tip of one of my treking poles. I've had them for over 10 years. I'm going to try to get replacement tips this week.
I've been back out to the private preserve that I have access to. I've been building up a trail map of the place using my gps. I'd like to finish all the trails there before May 1st.
